Versatile Voiceover Artist
If you’re looking for a character voice for your animation, you’ve come to the right place! I’m a professional voiceover artist and specialise in characters, accents and celebrity impressions and have played and developed numerous characters for TV and radio commercials, animations, cartoon, apps and exhibitions.
No matter what you have in mind, whether it’s a smooth-talking penguin, a fed up farmer, a manic washing machine or a Mexican waiter, I look forward to working with you to bring your character to life! I have played and developed characters for Playstation, Nintendo Wii and X Box games and apps. I’ll be happy to work with you to ensure you get the right voice to suit your character.
If you type “character voiceover” into Google you’ll often find examples of people doing or ‘putting on’ silly voices. That’s fine as a party trick, but if you shut your eyes, do you believe that the voice or character you’re listening to is genuine? Could this actually be a real person?
Voice Over Training
As a professional voiceover artist, I feel that it’s imperative to keep your tools sharp and that’s why I continue to study with some of the most respected coaches both here and in the U.S. What I’ve learned from them above all else is the importance of coming across as being 100% convincing to the listener, whether playing a character, voicing an impression of a well-known celebrity or advertising a sale in a carpet shop!
One of the joys of being a voice over characters actor is the sheer range of what I get asked to perform, whether it be an 85 year old Scottish Whisky maker, a New York Taxi Driver or an over the top camp dance teacher! My years of training and techniques have shown me how to inhabit a role and ensure that the listener believes in the character 100%. I have taken some amazing classes with fantastic and highly respected teachers and use specific techniques to bring the characters to life.
